Rieter, Säntis and Valvan launch textile recycling joint venture

Swiss textile machinery leader Rieter, Säntis Textiles and Belgian textile sorting specialist Valvan have formed Recycling Powerhouse AG, a new company aiming to industrialize and scale textile recycling through a global franchise model.

Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, the joint venture plans to establish a worldwide network of recycling facilities capable of converting pre- and post-consumer textile waste into certified recycled yarns.

🏭 Recycling Powerhouse will provide franchise partners with standardized recycling technologies, operating procedures, digital tools, training and technical support, while ensuring quality through certification and end-to-end traceability.

The first reference plant is scheduled to begin operations in Qatar in early 2027 in partnership with Suhail Industrial Holding Group, serving as a blueprint for future industrial-scale textile recycling facilities.

The initiative brings together Rieter's textile processing technologies, Säntis Textiles' manufacturing expertise and Valvan's automated textile sorting systems, reflecting growing investment in scalable infrastructure for circular textiles.
