LONDON, 2026 — eBay has announced Trosort as the Global Winner of its 2026 Circular Fashion Fund, awarding the company recognition for its AI-driven textile sorting technology aimed at transforming circular fashion infrastructure.

The winner will have the opportunity to receive a US$300,000 investment from eBay Ventures, alongside access to strategic mentoring and industry networks supporting circular innovation.

🧥 Trosort develops AI-powered hardware and software systems that digitise textile sorting operations, replacing manual classification with automated garment analysis. The system assigns a digital identity to up to 1,200 garments per hour, capturing detailed metadata for each item and enabling automated sorting of clothing for reuse, repair, upcycling, or recycling.

♻️ According to the company, its systems are already deployed across textile sorting centres in Europe and beyond, with a roadmap toward industrial-scale automation and significantly higher daily throughput.

The solution is designed to address one of fashion’s key bottlenecks — inefficient and inconsistent textile sorting — by improving traceability, recovery rates, and operational efficiency across secondhand and recycling supply chains.

eBay said the Circular Fashion Fund is focused on supporting scalable solutions that strengthen circularity in the fashion industry, including resale, repair, recycling and textile recovery infrastructure.
